Chilean Ministry for Culture finances creative projects

The Chilean Ministry for Culture has financed 316 projects through a national competition aimed at developing artistic production and creative projects. A total of 2,336,365,000 pesos will be granted by the Arts and Culture Production Fund to the winning entries. This year, 2680 applications were received in the following new categories: Visual Arts; Art and the Internet; Audiovisual Art; Dance; Music; Theatre; Inter-regional Events; and Study and Travel Scholarships. Next year, the Fund will become a part of a new cultural institution called the National Cultural Production Fund, and will be made available across a wider range of areas in the arts and culture.
