Brazil and Chile sign memorandum for cooperation

Brazilian Cultural Minister, Gilberto Gil, visited Chile earlier this month to sign a memorandum for cooperation with Chilean Minister for Education, Sergio Bitar. The agreement is aimed at promoting collaboration between Brazilian and Chilean cultural institutions – both private and public in each country – and is directed towards encouraging understanding and respect of cultural values. Implementation of objectives outlined in the agreement will occur in the form of student exchange programs, promotion of artistic and cultural initiatives, circulation of publications and much more.
