Resource announces regional museum funding
Resource, the Council for Museums, Archives and Libraries, has £70 million in funding for the modernisation of England’s regional museums and galleries under its ‘Renaissance in the Regions’ programme. The programme features a new framework in which leading institutions will serve as Regional Museum Hubs in each of the nine English regions. Working with other museums and galleries in their regions, these Hubs will work to raise standards, boost school programmes and attract new visitors. The funding marks the first time sustained revenue funding from Central Government for regional museums has been received. For further information, visit the Resource website.
