New Director of Communications at NEA
The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has announced the appointment of Felicia K Knight as Director of Communications. Knight will begin her tenure on March 17, following five years at Capitol Hill, where she worked as Communications Director for US Senator, Susan M Collins. Knight also brings to the office her experience at Maine television station WGME-TV, where she worked as senior political reporter and arts reporter. She is the recipient of a special commendation from the Maine Arts Commission for raising the public profile of arts in the state. In announcing the appointment, NEA Chairman, Dana Gioia, said that Knight would be a valuable asset to the organisation. ‘Felicia Knight joins the National Endowment for the Arts with more than 20 years of media experience and a deeply personal love for the arts,’ he said.
