Learning about the arts in Singapore
The Singapore National Arts Council (NAC), in collaboration with Lifeskills & Lifestyle, will present a series of visual arts workshops, from April to August 2003. The five workshops, collectively entitled 'Arts & You', will be conducted by arts professionals and are expected to cover a range of areas, from sawdust pit-firing and installation art to Chinese ink painting, Chinese calligraphy and art therapy. NAC Audience Development Director, Leen Kim Swee, says that the series of workshops aims to improve participants' understanding and appreciation of the visual arts. 'These talks will provide you with a good overview so that you can learn, discover and gain from this experience,' he said.
