Digital and Visual Media Adviser (Wellington)
Creative New Zealand is looking for an experienced, high performing Digital and Visual Media Adviser to join a team of enthusiastic communications professionals. We’re looking for someone who is familiar with the arts media and is an experienced project manager of web development, design and delivery, with strong content and rich visual media editorial skills.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain effective web and visual media for Creative New Zealand. You will have a relevant tertiary qualification combined with experience in corporate communications. To succeed in this role you must have:
Strong understanding of technical, user-oriented and communications-based principles of web design
Understanding of leading-edge online practices/technologies/trends and delivery platforms to inform digital strategy
Strong technical proficiency and familiarity with multiple web development frameworks, for example: Ruby on Rails, php eg. Drupal and others
Experience using more than one content management system (CMS), for example: Drupal, DotNetNuke, Silverstripe, or custom-built CMS
Ability, if necessary, to develop proficiency quickly in new CMS platform
Experience in writing and editing web content and the development of electronic publications
Experience with the production and coordination of a range of digital media
Experience with using, editing and publishing rich media such as video in a web environment
Knowledge of best-usage and file formats for rich media such as images, video etc
Understanding of government policies and processes relating to arts access, participation, professional practice and arts development
Appreciation of issues influencing arts development in New Zealand
Project management skills including:
Ability to manage major projects with multiple stakeholders, customers, users and suppliers
Experience and ability in standard as well as agile project methodologies
