Call for expressions of interest – arts and health
Following a process of research, consultation and dialogue with the arts and health sector, the Arts Council has decided to take a strategic, long-term and incremental approach to responding to areas of need, in partnership with the appropriate agencies and organisations. In the first instance, the Arts Council is prioritising support for the sector to develop an independent national arts and health website.
The Arts Council is currently requesting expressions of interest from organisations with significant arts and health expertise that are interested in developing an independent national arts and health website, and embedding its long-term development into the ongoing work of their organisation.
It is envisaged that a national arts and health website would be a resource and a focal point for the sector, providing information, support, advice and news, and generating discussion between artists, arts organisations, health service users, carers, healthcare professionals and others interested in the area of arts and health in Ireland.
The budget for the design, build, ongoing maintainence, development and promotion of the website is in the region of €40,000, to be paid over the period 2010/ 2011.
The deadline for receipt of expressions of interest is 5pm, Tuesday, 19 October 2010.
