Peregrine Arts is seeking paid Arts Management Project Interns to work on a large study examining how fine and performing arts organizations utilize space in historic churches and synagogues in Center City Philadelphia. The project has been commissioned by Partners for Sacred Places (www.sacredplaces.org) with support from the Barra Foundation. The scope of the study will include 40 Center City sacred places and their congregations, as well as 16 arts organizations representing the four major disciplines (music, dance, theatre, and visual arts). Peregrine seeks paid interns to assist with quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, and client reporting. Interns will work closely with Peregrine Arts principals and will be involved in client interviews, on-site assessments, and survey-based data collection. Applicants must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, as well as excellent communication, time management, organization, and analytic skills. Knowledge of the needs and design issues related to designing space for the fine and performing arts is preferred, but not required.

The work will be part-time and compensated on an hourly basis, beginning in mid-August 2010 and extending through the end of January 2011. Peregrine is an approved contractor with the University of Pennsylvania Off-Campus Penn/Federal Work-Study Program.
