Partnership and Networks Officer

Under the direct supervision of the Partnership and Networks Coordinator, contributes to the development of the Council’s partnerships and networks with other organizations and to Direction 4: Partnership in the Council’s Strategic Plan; develops and Implements plans and strategies to maintain and develop partnerships and networks; maintains contact with, and facilitates the work of  key networks; acts as the Secretariat to the Canadian Public Arts Funders (CPAF), a network that unites and serves Canada’s federal and provincial/territorial arts councils or equivalents; drafts, maintains and updates work plans and budgets; provides arts funding policy, research, administrative and communications expertise to working groups and committees in order to facilitate and move the work of these groups forward; undertakes research into the possibility and feasibility of new partnerships; conducts general research, writes and edits materials on issues, tools and best practices for dissemination to partners; maintains and updates web site, listservs and research and communications materials; coordinates meetings and events; manages and oversees special projects; acts as a liaison with other divisions and Canada Council staff; and performs other related duties.
