Duties
1. Manage and direct the work of a section with responsibility for the content, timeliness and presentation of work, while managing staff performance and development and ensuring the work of the section is managed within budget.
2. Provide high level advice on issues concerning the analysis, review, development and administration of policy and programs with respect to arts and culture issues, and other matters as required.
3. Undertake high level negotiation and liaison with relevant Australian Government agencies, State and Territory governments, statutory authorities, management boards, other organisations and the general public on policy related issues and the provision of strategic advice on program related management issues.
4. Represent the Department in internal and external forums.
