Senior Adviser Planning and Reporting (Maternity Cover)

Creative New Zealand (the Arts Council of New Zealand Toi Aotearoa) is the national arts development organisation, promoting and supporting the arts and artists in New Zealand. Creative New Zealand receives funding from the New Zealand Lottery Grants Board and directly from the Government through Vote: Arts, Culture and Heritage.

Do you want to be part of a creative and dynamic organisation and have the chance to make an impact on its planning and reporting processes? Our Senior Adviser Planning and Reporting is taking parental leave and we need to find a replacement for up to 12 months, starting as soon as possible. The role is Wellington based.
The position is responsible for developing and producing key planning and accountability documents, and for drafting replies to Ministerial correspondence, PQs and OIAs.  The Senior Adviser is required to lead internal planning processes and prepare and draft strategic and policy position papers. The role may also contribute to the development and review of governance systems.
To succeed in this role you must have:
• excellent skills in written English
• experience with government planning and reporting processes
• experience in business planning
• experience in relationship management at a senior level
• a commitment to the principles of the Treaty or Waitangi
• a relevant tertiary qualification is desirable
