Project Manager, Arts Organisations

What you will be doing
You will provide comprehensive project planning and implementation and administrative support to the Major Performing Arts Board, and the Arts Organisations division. You will contribute to the division’s role in providing advice, expertise, services and resources to artists and arts organisations in the areas of capacity development, market development, digital programs, and strategic planning.

To be successful in this role, you must be an excellent communicator with highly developed and demonstrated project management skills and experience.

What you can expect
Commencement salary of $80,052 per annum plus superannuation.

Selection Criteria

Project / Work Management

Measures and evaluates work processes, services and products to achieve organisational goals; redesigns processes as needed using best methods and technology to meet or exceed business needs; uses appropriate methods to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and measure impact; shares best practice
Demonstrated track record of planning and managing large and complex projects to budget.

Communication / Negotiation Skills

Presents complex issues clearly, credibly and effectively
Develops effective briefing documents, reports and communications in plain English.

Technical / Professional Knowledge

Demonstrates an up to date knowledge of the digital environment and opportunities it presents to artists and arts organisations
Develops technical solutions to new or complex problems
Provides advice or solutions in his/her technical area; is sought out as an expert
Demonstrates a broad interest in and knowledge of arts and culture, including knowledge and understanding of current sector issues
Demonstrates an ability to quickly grasp complex issues and situations, and to provide plain English written advice to stakeholders with regard to solutions and options for further action.

Research and Analysis Skills

Analyses data and identifies key issues; identifies causes and effects and uses this to prioritise issues; identifies trends
Takes an active role in analysis of internal and external research and stakeholder reports to assist in delivery of reviews and evaluations undertaken as required by the MPAB and governments.
