Director, Marketing

In this pivotal role you’ll work to understand what people want from the arts and the Arts Council, using this intelligence to inform our marketing strategy. Responsible for cross-platform communications with the public and arts sector, you’ll provide the strategic lead on above the line, digital, print and events communications. Your goal will be to drive public engagement, attendance and participation in the arts.
 
It goes without saying that you’ll need substantial experience of marketing and an understanding of arts marketing. People leadership skills, experience of commissioning work from agencies at a senior level, and developing business partnerships, are key attributes we’re looking for. Expertise in running marketing campaigns, plus an understanding of digital, events and print publishing and how they contribute to delivery of a communications strategy, are vital.
