Chief Executive sought for Creative Scotland

Recruitment begins today for an experienced and inspirational Chief Executive with a bold creative vision for Scotland to lead Creative Scotland, the country’s new cultural development body.

Creative Scotland will act as advisor, advocate, investor and broker across a spectrum of innovative and imaginative organisations, with artists and creativity firmly at its centre. Operating across the creative industries, the Chief Executive will require the credibility to lead a new national organisation, alongside excellent influencing, communication and negotiating skills.

Ewan Brown, Chairman, Creative Scotland 09 Ltd, said:
‘This is one of the most exciting and high-profile roles offered in Scotland for some time and I’m delighted that we are now able to begin the process of recruitment. This will be a search for a Chief Executive of the highest calibre.  Scotland’s creative sectors are bursting with talent and ambition and we want a leader with the passion and drive to ensure Scotland takes its place on an international stage.’
