Senior Cultural Initiatives Manager, Wakefield Council
This is an exciting development and project management opportunity within the Culture, Destination and Markets team. If you are enthusiatic about an opportunity to lead on some key cultural regeneration projects and initiatives for local people, which will truly make a difference - here is your chance.
You should have an understanding of the importance and role of policy, industry best practice and the practical application of community engagement and voluntary and community sector capacity building techniques. You will also require an understanding of the requirements for capital improvement projects and a strategic understanding of the role of culture and regeneration in achieving Community Strategy objectives and outcomes for local people.
You must be a strong networker who can promote ideas and engender commitment within the organisation and amongst community activists, the voluntary sector, partners and key stakeholders. You must have a proven track record in managing a large number of resources in order to achieve cost effective, high quality, on time and on budget project delivery. Strong customer focus skills with the ability to design, deliver and implement initiatives that increase the quality of cultural facilities is also essential.
