Swiss Cultural Programme: Regional Programme Manager

The Swiss Cultural Programme (SCP) is run by Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council, upon mandate of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC, Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
The SCP has entered a new and final phase lasting from 2008 to 2012. It focuses on regional cooperation projects in the Western Balkan region with Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia and Kosovo.
From July 1, 2008 the Swiss Cultural Programme in the Western Balkans will be administered by a Regional Programme Office in Sarajevo. Its thematic priorities include: the promotion of democracy, freedom of expression, conflict resolution and respect for minorities; intercultural and interethnic collaboration with a focus on youth and the creation of structures for broad cultural participation. The SCP activities take into account good governance and gender equity.

Pro Helvetia is looking for a competent and experienced personality as Regional Programme Manager.

The Regional Programme Manager has the conceptual, administrative and financial responsibility for the Swiss Cultural Programme in the Western Balkans. He/she is directing a team consisting of a deputy and two administrative assistants. He/she is accountable to the International Department of Pro Helvetia in Zurich. During the first 6 months, introduction to the job and coaching by the Swiss Head of Programme ad interim are foreseen.
