Grants Manager

As an integral part of the Finance and Development Teams, the Grants Manager will participate in all facets of the grant process. The Grants Manager will work closely with the Associate Chief Financial Officer and Director of Institutional Giving, and report directly to the Associate CFO.

The Grants Manager will:

Conduct the full range of activities required to develop, draft, prepare, submit, manage, and report on grant proposals to foundation, government, and corporate sources
Advise and assist on grant budget creation
Review all proposals for completeness, editorial consistency, and adherence to the funders' requirements, mission, and goals
Develop submission and follow-up deadline tracking forms for quarterly reports to Program in conjunction with Development and Finance
Implement grant accounting structures, including proper tracking in the database
Maintain applicable grant financial reports on monthly and quarterly basis, and create final financial reports for funders
Act as liaison among the Middlebury, Washington, and Salzburg offices in terms of financial reporting and grant and fellowship administration
Monitor the appropriate use of project and fellowship funds
Assist in the maintenance of session and program cost analysis as it relates to grants and organizational planning
Draft correspondence for grantors, including thank you letters, inquiries, updates, and filings for extensions
Maintain and update hard copy and database file as appropriate including filing correspondence with various donors
Participate in regular discussions with Program staff to develop narrative and format budgets for new initiatives
Create a Grants Management Manual
