Executive Officer

Australian Performing Arts Centres Association Contract of Services - Executive Officer Services AUSTRALIAN PERFORMING ARTS CENTRES ASSOCIATION (APACA) APACA is the peak national body for performing arts centres that promotes and fosters an invaluable network of performing arts centres across the country. Its members comprise a diverse range of performing arts and entertainment centres in metropolitan centres as well as in regional and remote Australia. APACA is seeking to appoint an individual or organisation to provide Executive Services to the association. It is anticipated that the successful contractor will provide the services of an individual or individuals with a range of skills and experience in arts administration including project management, financial management, policy development and advocacy. The association may elect to also offer the successful contractor additional discrete project based contracts including the coordination and delivery of the association’s annual conference held in September each year and the completion of a major biennial statistical survey of member centres. The total value of the Executive Services contract and these individual project based contracts is in the range of $40K to $60K. It is anticipated that the new contractor would attend the association’s annual conference in September 2007 so as to be able to facilitate an effective and timely handover of the Executive Officer service roles prior to 31 December 2007. A contract period of two years with annual performance reviews is offered. Interested individuals or organisations should provide a preliminary Expression of Interest detailing previous demonstrated ability to provide the type and range of services as listed in the Key Responsibilities and Tasks document available on request. Previous venue management experience would be highly regarded.
