Business Development Manager

Job Description MAIN OBJECTIVE As part of the Arts Development (Cross Cutting)Team and in support of the Head of Arts Development (Cross Cutting) Team: - Lead on identifying and securing funding from external sources. - Raise funds in line with agreed financial targets. - Manage grant programmes developed through funding initiatives and on behalf of others. MAIN DUTIES 1. Research potential sources of funding for the arts. 2. Develop, implement and co-ordinate fundraising plans to maximise income from a range of sources. 3. Develop project funding proposals and follow through applications, developing funding partnerships as necessary or beneficial, especially within the context of European funding programmes. 4. To manage grant programmes arising form successful bids, to manage programmes on behalf of others and evaluate effectiveness of funding in relation to the outcomes of projects. 5. Produce reports and present to SMT and/or Council as and when required. 6. Provide the Head of Arts Development (Cross Cutting) and/or SMT with intelligence/policy advice on current trends and developments within Trust, Foundations, Corporations and Europe. 7. To identify and build relationships with potential partners including businesses, trusts and potential legacies. 8. Ensure appropriate steps are taken to identify and mange risks within area of responsibility. 9. Take responsibility for self development and own development action plans. 10. Maintain a flexible approach to the role and responsibilities of the post. Undertake any other duties or projects which may be delegated by the Head of Arts Development (Cross Cutting).
