Manager

The Australia Business Arts Foundation (AbaF) works nationally to promote private sector support for the arts through partnering, volunteering and giving.

We seek a strong leader to manage the AbaF Tasmania Chapter, comprised of a number of CEOs and Chairs of Tasmania’s leading companies who are engaged in support of the arts and culture of Australia.

This role involves:

  • Building relations and advising and assisting the arts, business and private sectors in Tasmania to participate in AbaF programs;
  • Coordinating the development and delivery of Tasmanian Chapter events, skills development activities and other communication strategies;
  • Working closely with the Tasmania Government through Arts Tasmania; and
  • Monitoring trends in private sector support for the arts in Tasmania.


  • The successful applicant will have:
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • A track record in the development of relationships between the private sector and arts and cultural organisations;
  • A sound knowledge of the cultural, business and philanthropic sectors in Tasmania; and
  • Experience and confidence in working with senior business, arts, philanthropic and government leaders.


  • This is a 4 day a week, 13 month contract position to replace our current State Manager who will be on extended leave.
