VAI SEEKS PROGRAMME MANAGER FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS Position: Programme Manager Professional Development Workshops. Fee: E13,685. Days/hours: Variable, estimated approx 85 days per annum. Start: 1 June 2007. Contract: 1 year (renewable up to 2 further years). Visual Artists Ireland has received a grant form the Arts Council of Northern Ireland’s National Lottery fund to operate a professional development workshop programme for artists valued at over €150,000 that is to be delivered over a 3 year period. We are seeking to contract a committed individual to develop, manage and coordinate this new workshop programme that will be operated in Northern Ireland. The person will be a committed and self-motivated individual with excellent organisational abilities and written and verbal communication skills who will lead the research, programming, co-ordination, delivery and evaluation of this ambitious programme. The position does not involve teaching /delivering actual workshops. The position is being offered at this stage as a contract for services rather than an employed position. Workshops programme is to be delivered exclusively in Northern Ireland. However, there is flexibility as to where the Programme Manager is based.
