The Centre for Institutional Studies is an established research unit within UEL. We are looking for a new colleague who shares our creativity, energy, ambition and our passion for equality and diversity to contribute to an AHRC funded research project which explores relationships between policy debates, performing arts, learning, and social inclusion for young people aged 16 - 25. The successful candidate will be involved in ‘tracking’ a selected group of young people for 18 months in four different community-based performing arts organisations in different locations in the UK, and collecting and collating information relevant to the activities of the organisations and the context within which they are operating. You will have a degree and a postgraduate qualification with an interest in and knowledge of issues related to young people, performing arts and social inclusion within a wider cultural policy context. Previous research experience using qualitative and quantitative methods is essential as well as experience of interviewing young people and working with community organisations.
