Managing Editor

A Managing Editor is required to help deliver that vision through the development of high quality content for the site. This person will be required to commission and/or author the editorial content for CKL; to ensure the integrity and consistency of CKL’s brand across each of the three key on-line environments and related communications materials; and to assure the quality of all CKL generated and user generated content. The Managing Editor will be responsible for the day-to-day project management and briefing of external content delivery partners and the line management of CKL core staff: Content Manager, Technical Account Manager, Leadership Project Manager, Project Coordinator, 6 x Research Editors. Each Research Editor is responsible for one of Creative & Cultural Skills’ industry sub-sectors and the Managing Editor will be required to identify and maintain an overview of cross-sector themes and to identify new content requirements as they emerge. The Managing Editor will be responsible to Creative & Cultural Skills’ Executive Director(Programmes) and will be supported by a Technical Account Manager and Content Manager. He or she will work closely with Creative & Cultural Skills Industry Skills Directors, to develop strategies for Industry Engagement and the acquisition of sector-specific content.
