Associate Director - AANM

Primary Responsibilities: - Manage museum internal operations, including identifying and monitoring critical deadlines, coordinating workflow, identifying areas of need, and evaluating progress and making adjustments when needed - Assist AANM Director, AANM Manager of Development, and ACCESS’ Fiscal Office in planning and implementing the Museum’s fiscal operations and marketing activities - Assist the AANM Director in strategic planning, evaluating organizational needs, and developing goals and objectives in coordination with Museum senior staff - Work with ACCESS’ Information Technology department to maintain telecommunications systems installation, upgrades, and maintenance - Ensure that all AANM policies and procedures are measurable and implemented accordingly - Supervise HR management systems necessary for efficient museum operations, including evaluation, promotions, and changes in staff job duties - Train, coach, and counsel staff in the areas of customer service, team building, time management, conflict resolution, professional development, leadership, and communication - Analyze staffing needs, and make recommendations to the AANM Director - Create and implement methods to achieve customer satisfaction - Develop an evaluation procedure for assessing patron and member satisfaction - Build relationships and collaborations with other museums, educational institutions, and community-based organizations Education/Experience: Applicant must hold a Master’s Degree in non-profit management or a humanities-related field with at least 6-8 years of leadership and management experience, preferably in the museum field; OR a Bachelor’s Degree in these fields with a minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
