PROGRAMME MANAGER
We are looking for a programme manager to help us develop and deliver the Creative Clusters Conference and other events. You will also, as part of a team of four, work on other events and services in the UK and the rest of the world. Your principal responsibility will be to manage the forum for policy debate that is the Creative Clusters Conference and its off-shoots. You will contribute to the design of events and other projects, and ensure that policy is followed through in delivery. You will be involved in programming from beginning to end, developing event proposals, negotiating policy with sponsors and partners, researching and contacting programme contributors, liaising with and assisting them to prepare their communications, creating marketing material in a variety of formats, and overseeing event delivery on the day. You must have a thorough understanding of the UK's 'creative industries' policy agenda, and you should have first-hand experience of how national policy goals are actually delivered and implemented at local and regional level. You will be aware of what 'creative industries' means in other parts of the world, and of global issues in the field. The ideal candidate will also have experience of working in a creative or media business. We are an IT-intensive company and part of this role is to expand our web-based services. You will be familiar with the use of the internet as a communication and community-building tool, and comfortable with using a range of software tools to deliver business services. You will be a good communicator in your own right, and an excellent writer, able to produce punchy, focused and persuasive copy. As with most small businesses, the ability to work under pressure with great attention to detail is crucial for this job. You will be a member of a small team and you will be willing to take on tasks which fall outside of your immediate responsibility. You will be able to work with minimal supervision, prioritising tasks and managing your own workloads to tight deadlines.
