Job Description The Board of Directors are searching for a dedicated individual to take forward this innovative development programme for children and young people’s film and media, incorporating Wales’s first major international festival of children and young people’s film and media. Zoom! provides an opportunity to have a substantial impact on the lives of children and young people in the South Wales Valleys. In addition to supporting their learning and vocational aspirations, your work will help to nurture the future ‘movers and shakers’ of the film and media industries by building strong partnerships between education, cultural organisations and industry. The programme will celebrate the full-range of quality film and media-making for, with and by children and young people happening across the world. Chief Executive/Director (£40,000 pro rata) Your role will be to work closely with other team members, board members and project partners to ensure the aims of the organisation, as outlined in the business plan, are fulfilled. You will take responsibility for the planning and overall artistic programme, from the Festival to the organisation of the year-long participatory programme. Post is flexible, 3 days per week or equivalent and will be based in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area. Post may require some evening and weekend work. Closing Date – 26th June 2006 Interviews will be held on the 12th and 13th July 2006.
