Visual Arts Officer
At an exciting time for the arts in Scotland we invite you to contribute to creating a confident cultured Scotland where everyone takes part in the arts. You will work as part of a small team that is responsible for supporting the development of contemporary visual arts across Scotland, with a key role to play in advising and assisting individual artists. The work will involve contributing to policy and strategy within Scottish Arts Council , working with partners such as local authorities and Scottish Screen to deliver key initiatives, managing a range of funding opportunities including international residencies and providing advice to a wide range of artists. You will have a strong knowledge of the contemporary visual arts, excellent communication skills and a good understanding of budgets / financial matters. Closing date is at 12 noon This post qualifies to join the Scottish Arts Council’s final salary non-contributory pension scheme. This post is 28 hours per week.
