Research Fellow:Creative Work-Cultural Industries

Research Fellow: Creative Work in the Cultural Industries, Faculty of Social Sciences ESRC-funded Centre for Research on Socio-Cultural Change, based in Milton Keynes £24,886 – £29,715 Two year contract (15 January 2006 – 14 January 2008) This position is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council as part of a research grant awarded to Dr David Hesmondhalgh for a two-year project, Creative Work in the Cultural Industries. You will work with Dr Hesmondhalgh on the project. The project investigates the experiences and working conditions of creative personnel in the television, recording and magazine publishing industries. You will be an outstanding researcher in the early stages of your career, with a doctorate in an area relevant to the project, completed by the time the post begins. You will have experience of writing research findings and presenting them to scholarly audiences. You will be able to work as part of a team in an interdisciplinary environment.
