Director of Information
This is a high profile role, responsible for information management for the Arts Council, and development of knowledge management, Freedom of Information and Data Protection. The information strategy you develop and deliver will focus on quality and efficiency, of course. But as important will be the customer perspective, and you will lead on developing and enhancing the Council's new customer contact centre, and online and other corporate publishing services. The Arts Council operates in a busy environment, with operations heavily delegated to nine regional offices, so the ability to work collaboratively and build consensus for best practice and standards is a must. Having spent at least 5 years as a senior librarian or as a manager responsible for public information services for a substantial organisation, you’ll have experience that covers: public information systems, customer services, document management and the information/IT interface. Of particular value will be good understanding of governance issues, knowledge of the latest information systems, and proven strategic thinking ability.
