Human Resources Manager
Peak US Arts Agency, Americans for the Arts, is seeking a Human Resources Manager who can translate ideas into working programs and policies and is active in diversity issues. Areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to): employee relations, recruiting/staffing, benefits, compensation, orientation design/delivery, training, personnel record maintenance, performance management, and policy and procedure development. Key Duties: - Recruit and advise managers on potential candidates for position vacancies - Processing and administering staff payroll - Evaluate position descriptions for Americans for the Arts staff - New hire orientation for all new employees - Maintain all human resource/personnel/medical records - Provide/maintain enrollment information for investment plan options for all staff - Act as liaison with outside benefits/HR vendors - Evaluate current benefits as well as research alternative offerings to consistently offer a competitive benefits package - Supervise benefits information and provide such to employees when needed - Ensuring salaries are compliant with Americans for the Arts established Salary Administration Program - Ensuring organisational compliance with all federal and local jurisdictional regulations pertaining to employment matters - Preparation of HR reports Skills Required: - Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Excellent interpersonal skills - Strong organisational skills and attention to detail - Excellent writing skills - PC skills including MS Word, Excel, IMIS, and Internet research experience. Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field. - At least four years experience in human resources management
