National Director
Fixed term contract up until March 2007 Ref no: CP/F/126 Education can do more. It can inspire as well as instruct, enthuse as well as test, boost children's imagination and creativity as well as their examination results. That's why Creative Partnerships has been set up. It is a powerful tool for change backed by Government investment, with a clear objective: to make creativity central to the learning process. We're not on the periphery of education, we're right at the heart of it. Each partnership works through its Creative Director to build relationships between a group of participating schools and the creative sector to deliver a programme designed to promote creative learning. We're now looking for a National Director who will lead the Creative Partnerships programme during a time of expansion into 36 local partnerships throughout the country. You will manage the national office team which provides support to the partnerships and work as a first class advocate for the programme. You’ll need to be absolutely committed to empowering young people as creators and to the role of creative practitioners within the education sector. You’ll need to be a recognised leader with understanding of the arts, cultural and education sectors with a passion for reflecting the diversity of the country’s cultural opportunities. What’s more your knowledge of the cultural and community sectors, with an entrepreneurial emphasis, will have honed your ability to work with a wide range of people and partners; and to forge strong relationships. What’s in it for you? Challenge, certainly. But equally Creative Partnerships will be one of the most rewarding projects you’ll be involved in. You’ll be part of a thriving Arts Council England initiative which has the potential to change the way we think about culture in this country
