Program Officer
The Getty Grant Program is seeking an individual with broad knowledge of education, visual arts, and philanthropy to work as part of a team of senior staff members. Primary responsibilities are for local, national, and international grants, grants in education and the visual arts; management of internship programs and leadership initiatives; and special projects, as needed. Develops policy; seeks and develops grant opportunities; manages inquiries, applications, and their review process; makes recommendations for projects to be funded. The role reports to the Associate Director of the Grant Program. Qualifications: Advanced degree in field related to visual arts and education; experience of 7-10 years in a university, museum, foundation, or other cultural organisation; knowledge of policy issues related to the visual arts and education. Position requires excellent analytical, organisational, and management skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills to work effectively with an international range of applicants, grantees, outside advisors, and other experts.
