Communications and Media Manager The Arts Council of Northern Ireland wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic individual at a senior level to take the lead in developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy for the Council which will include media and public relations, advocacy, advertising, marketing and promotions. Candidates must have a university degree, or a professional qualification of an equivalent or higher standard, in a communications related discipline such as public relations, marketing or journalism. They must have at least three years’ full-time experience gained within the last five years at a senior level in public relations; demonstrating the ability to write creatively and interface directly with the media, articulating an organisation’s policy and points of view. In addition, they must be able to demonstrate excellent oral, written, presentation and inter-personal communications skills in dealing with a range of professionals at all levels and with the general public. Experience of managing staff is also a requirement of this post. Benefits include a non-contributory final salary based pension scheme and flexible hours working arrangements.
