Assistant Officer, Visual Arts and Literature
Arts Council England is seeking an Assistant Officer to Visual Arts and Literature. The post represents a superb opportunity to assist and support the management of investment and partnership with a range of high profile organisations and local authority arts development teams. Key activities include: • Working to develop small presses including development of the small press strategy for the region • Working with Commissions East to support the development of the Regional Visual Arts Talent agenda The work will include assessing and monitoring Grants for the Arts applications, presentations at Grants for the Arts events and seminars, managing a portfolio of arts investments and negotiating partnerships to bring about growth for the arts Presentation, communication and business skills are required as is a good broad knowledge of the arts, particularly in the fields of visual arts and literature. You’ll also be a team player, customer focused and with good time management skills. Experience of grants assessment processes is desirable.
