Corporate Communications Manager

Location Sydney CBD, Employment Status Full-time Vacancy Ref Number S1309 Closing Date Friday, 6 June 2003 Total remuneration package to: $114,736.00 ($105,262.00-$105,262.00) Contribute to the positive positioning of the House by developing media relations and corporate communication strategies/plans that promote a positive perception of the SOH as a high quality performing arts venue with heritage and cultural significance. Selection Criteria Extensive experience in corporate media relations, issues and crisis management. Comprehensive knowledge of best practice in public relations, communication management and information management. Experience with employee / internal communications Experience in managing and mentoring a small number of staff. Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and negotiating ability. An extensive network of contacts within the media industry, the arts industry & Government Media units. Experience producing corporate brochures and/or annual reports. Ability to develop communications strategies and provide advice to senior management to deal with complex issues as they arise. Demonstrated project management expertise in pressured environment. Strong understanding of a complex business environment, customers, audiences combined with a broad knowledge of the arts and tourism industries its practicies and supporters.
