Executive Level 2 Position
The Intellectual Property Branch of the Department is responsible for copyright policy and other relevant intellectual property policy matters. New technologies, creators’ rights, indigenous communal rights, competition and access issues are some of the matters that inform the copyright policy work of the branch. The Branch also has interest in the management of copyright, particularly in relation to the challenges posed by digital technologies. Outstanding opportunities exist for a self-motivated, creative and adaptable person with sound judgement to manage a team involved in a variety of policy tasks within the Branch. We are looking for a person who can demonstrate high-level policy development skills together with highly effective communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant qualifications and or experience (including legal qualifications) would be an advantage. Executive Level 2 positions have a salary range of $71,896 to $84,261.
