Consultants Brief
Business visual arts patronage and commissioning in the East Midlands Arts & Business East Midlands and East Midlands Arts have had an increase in businesses making enquiries about collecting and commissioning the visual arts. We wish to commission the research and production of a good practice guide and seminar event to inform and advocate commissioning to business. The work should include case studies looking at areas such as - businesses from the private and public sector that have developed a fruitful relationship with the arts, exploring the potential for arts links with marketing, company websites, residencies, site specific commissions, the potential for arts input to staff training, engaging staff in the arts to encourage them as new audiences outside the workplace. Publication of the guide should be completed, and one seminar event held by the 22nd March 2003. EMA invite expressions of interest including - a proposed work plan that satisfies the requirements of the brief, indicating - working methods, outline timetable of key tasks and milestones, a budget breakdown of costs that can be estimated at this stage, details of the consultants to be assigned to work on the study, the roles they will play, their availability and CV's, two referees, examples of any previous relevant work. Discussion with short listed consultant(s) will take place on Monday 9th September 2002
