The candidate should be a prominent practicing artist, writer, or educator in any area of electronic art and music. Candidate must have a proven professional, teaching, and administrative track record. This position requires a PhD, MFA, or other terminal degree. Candidate should qualify for appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
TENURE TRACK FACULTY IN INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION
The ideal candidate will have created and presented interesting electronic art. Desirable skills include a knowledge of sculpture and fabrication, computer programming, robotics, and interactive multimedia. Recognition in the field and previous teaching experience are desired. MFA, other terminal degree, or equivalent professional accomplishment and recognition are necessary. Rank open.
The iEAR Studios (integrated Electronic Arts at Rensselaer), of the Department of the Arts at Rensselaer is dedicated to interdisciplinary creative research in electronic arts. As an art program situated within a technological university, we offer a unique creative environment in which to realize innovative music and art.
