Manager Cultural Sector Performance
The Ministry for Culture and Heritage Te Manatū Taonga advises government on cultural matters. We fund and support several of New Zealand’s iconic cultural institutions including Te Papa, Creative NZ, the NZ Film Commission, NZ Historic Places Trust, TVNZ, the NZSO and Te Matatini. We also produce award-winning websites including Te Ara - the New Zealand encyclopedia - and the 28thMāori Battalion and NZHistory. We administer significant heritage sites such as the National War Memorial.
We are seeking a senior public sector manager with experience in policy and agency performance monitoring to join our recently re-organised Cultural Policy Branch management team.
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive / Cultural Policy Branch Manager, you will lead a team which advises Ministers on cultural sector performance matters. You will also help to shape the Ministry’s approach to cultural issues such as demonstrating the value and contribution of the cultural sector to New Zealand’s economy and society, supporting a vibrant and viable cultural sector and how best to protect and enjoy our cultural heritage.
