Lack of agreement on wages erupted in movie theatres: cinematographers pulled out from negotiations
Nineteen days after the official closure of the salaries council, a new focal point of conflict appeared. The Uruguayan Union of Cinematographic Employees (UECU) pulled out from the meeting and is even thinking about occupying movie theatres.
This is not the first pull-out that has occurred in the salaries councils.
On the 26th of September, the businessmen of the Urufuayan Nafta Vendors Union walked out from the negotiation meeting as a result of the negative effects on the service stations of the occupation of the metallurgic union (Untrmra) that occurred Wednesday, September 24th.
Similarly, the leader of the Taxi Drivers Union (Suatt), Sergio Pereira, noted that the workers could approve their exit from the negotiation round in the face of the lack of agreement with their employers, if there is no progress in the salary meeting scheduled for tomorrow.
