Culture Minister highlights music contest importance
Angola's minister of Culture, Boaventura Cardoso, on Thursday here said the holding of musical contests is an important element for the promotion and divulgence of new artistic values, ANGOP has learnt.
Speaking to ANGOP, at the end of the Luanda Song Contest, promoted by the Luanda Antena Commercial (LAC) radio, Boaventura Cardoso said that music contests give opportunity to young musicians that have no possibility of recording a CD to show their talents and skills.
According to the minister, the entrepreneurial sector is an important partner in divulging new talents.
Crested in 1998, the festival has the goal of awarding the creativity and originality of lyricists and upcoming singers.
