New members for Americans for the Arts

The Americans for the Arts organisation has appointed new members to its Arts Education Council. The Council, which was created to advise the Americans for the Arts about arts in education, added three new members and one re-elected member. Thomas Cahill was appointed, an executive director at the Studio in a School Association, along with David Flatley, the executive director of the Center for Community Arts Partnerships. Laurie Schopp, the director of programs and policy with VH1 Save the Music Foundation, was also appointed, as well as Ayeshah Wiltshire, the director of community arts and education with the Westchester Arts Council. Robert Lynch, president and CEO of Americans for the Arts, said: "The Arts Education Council is essential to Americans for the Arts and our dedication to arts education for our children and communities.
