NCCA launches National Arts Month in Philippines
The National Commission for Culture and the Arts has launched its 2005 National Arts Month 2005 with the theme, Sining Gising: Crafting Identities for Social Transformation. Established in 1991 through Presidential Proclamation, National Arts Month celebrates ‘the boundless creativity of the Filipino soul’ across the month of February each year. A wide variety of activities commemorate the occasion, spearheaded by the NCCA and facilitated throughout the country.
