Cultural body gets cold shoulder from pollies

Who listens to the Australia Council these days? Not politicians, it seems. The council's role in helping set the nation's cultural funding framework seems to have been reduced in recent years, and if the federal election policies of the Liberal and Labor parties are any indication, this situation is not about to change.
