Ibero-American Congress on Arts and Education: Trans-Iberian Senses
Trans-Iberian Senses is the title of the current Ibero-American Congress on Arts and Education, which will take place in Beija, Portugal
This Congress, which will gather the most important Ibero-American experts on Arts and Education, coming from 40 universities or having responsibilities in the field of education, will reflect on theoretical and practical matters related to the role of Arts and Education/Arts/Education in the construction of youth identities in contemporary societies, in multimedia culture, in the e-generation, in cultural diversity, in social inclusion/exclusion issues, in heritage preservation, in education for peace and for sustainability.
The Instituto Politécnico de Beja: Escola Superior de Educação; the APECV: Associação de Professores de Expressão e Comunicação Visual; the CIEP: Centro de Investigação em Educação e Psicologia of Universidade de Évora and the Universidade de Huelva make up the institutional and cultural partnership that organizes this Congress. How to (re)direct current educational and artistic media to meet the needs of the demanding platforms that structure the already old “Globalisation” and where modern consciousness, called humanistic, and the practical level, which is effective and merely contingent, do not meet?
