Second ordinary session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions
The Intergovernmental Committee which was established within UNESCO by Article 23 of the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions meets annually. During this second ordinary session, the Committee opens discussions on:
- operational guidelines on the promotion of international cooperation;
- operational guidelines on the integration of culture in sustainable development;
- operational guidelines on cooperation for development;
- guidelines on the use of the resources of the International Fund for Cultural Diversity;
- Experts' reports on preferential treatment for developing countries.
Civil society representatives are also invited to participate in this meeting which takes place at UNESCO Headquarters.
