The OAS is consulting civil society
The OAS will carry out a week-long process of consultation called Partnering with Civil Society, in Washington D.C. on March 10-14, 2008. Civil society organizations will be able to contribute to the discussions around the principal themes of the inter-American agenda as they relate to youth and the promotion of democratic values. It will include four events from which should come out recommendations that will be presented to the OAS Member States in efforts to prepare for the Dialogue between the Heads of Delegation of the OAS Member States and representatives of civil society that will take place in the framework of the XXXVIII OAS General Assembly. Organizations that wish to be considered in the Selection Committee to receive a travel award must fill out the Travel Award Application.
