VI International Meeting Of American And European Cultural Centres
This Meeting will take place in Lima on November 22-23 at Universidad del Perú’s Cultural Centre. It will deal with the relationship between cultural administration and creative activity. Édgar Saba, Director of Universidad del Perú’s Cultural Centre, invited directors of other cultural centres like Instituto Iberoamericano Patrimonio Cultural Prusiano (Berlin), Casa de América (Madrid), Estación Mapocho (Santiago de Chile), Casa de América Foundation (Italy), and Rector Ricardo Rojas of the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
The discussions will revolve around these subjects: 1) Cultural centres and the private sector as supporters of creative activity and Public Cultural Policy, 2) Relationship between the cultural administrators and the intermediaries of creative activity, 3) Economy and cultural administration: differences between cultural centres, 4) Migrations and cultural centres, 5) Revision and reflection on the Network as a resource for project exchange, and 6) Projects for exchange.
Apart from the cultural centres directors, speakers like Hernán Viviano, General Manager of Warner Fox; Fanny Mikey, Director of the Festival Internacional de Teatro de Bogotá, and Heriberto Ascher, President of Lima’s Philarmonic Society will be present.
The International Network of American and European Cultural Centres organizes this meetings to think about cultural administration, exchange projects and strengthen ties, in order to find a constantly meaningful and profound link between those institutions which are dedicated to the promotion of creative activity.
