Federal Regulation and the Cultural Landscape
The Curb Center for Art, Enterprise, and Public Policy at Vanderbilt announces our spring conference 'Federal Regulation and the Cultural Landscape' to be held Friday, March 19th, 2004 on the Vanderbilt University campus. The small, one-day conference will generate in-depth discussions of contemporary issues such as piracy and file-sharing and the impact of regulatory decisions on media content and will also create a dialogue about the role of business and economic regulation as de facto cultural policy. Panelists and moderators from the arts and music industries, congressional staffers, and representatives from federal agencies such as the Federal Communications Commission and the office of the United States Trade Representative will respond to paper presentations from Vanderbilt faculty members. The Curb Center welcomes your participation at the conference. The event is open to the public by reservation and will be held in the Alumni Room of the Vanderbilt Law School.
