Jonathan Katz interviewed in 'Arts Leaders Talk' video series

IFACCA's latest video interview to be published as part of the ‘Arts Leaders Talk’ series is with Dr Jonathan Katz, Chief Executive Officer of the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA), which is the membership organisation that unites, represents and serves the USA's state and jurisdictional arts agencies.  The video series was filmed during IFACCA’s CEO Leadership Seminar, which was held immediately prior to the 5th World Summit on Arts and Culture in October 2011.

In this video, Dr Katz talks about the importance of taking a long term view to add value to arts organisations rather than looking for quick fixes, and about how IFACCA's international focus assists him in his national role in the USA.  Over more than 10 years, Dr Katz has played a key role with the IFACCA board, facilitating governance and strategic planning discussions.

In the video series, leaders from IFACCA member organisations from around the world were asked five questions: What have you learnt as a leader that you would like to share with others? What’s the biggest opportunity for your organisation in the near future? What’s the value of IFACCA to you and your organisation? What inspires you to work in the arts? and finally, What is a memorable art work that you have seen recently?

Previously released videos include interviews with CEOs of national arts councils, and senior staff from ministries of culture from around the globe. A new video will be released with each edition of ACORNS.

IFACCA's YouTube channel also provides links to videos from IFACCA's World Summits in 2009 and 2011. We will provide links to other arts policy related material from members later in the year so please let us know if you have any suitable clips.
